About these terms

These terms and conditions govern the provision of acupuncture and related services by Stephanie Dornan trading as Stephanie Dornan Acupuncture. By booking an appointment you agree to these terms.

The service

Stephanie Dornan Acupuncture provides acupuncture and complementary therapy services. Acupuncture is a complementary therapy and does not replace conventional medical treatment. Nothing discussed or recommended during sessions constitutes medical advice. You should always consult your GP or relevant medical specialist for medical diagnosis and treatment.

If you are currently under the care of a medical professional, please inform them that you are receiving acupuncture treatment. If you are taking prescribed medication, please bring a full list to your first appointment.

Bookings

Appointments can be booked online via Jane App or by contacting us directly. Booking confirmation will be sent to the email address provided at the time of booking.

By booking an appointment you confirm that the information provided on your intake form is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to your health or medication between sessions.

Fees and payment

Current fees are as set out on the Fees page of this website at www.stephaniedornan.ie. Fees are payable at the time of each appointment. We reserve the right to update our fees with reasonable notice.

Cancellation policy

We require a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may be charged in full. We appreciate that emergencies happen - please contact us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend.

Where we need to cancel an appointment we will give as much notice as possible and offer an alternative appointment time.

Health and safety

Please do not attend an appointment if you are feeling unwell, have a contagious illness or have a high temperature. Contact us to reschedule.

It is your responsibility to disclose all relevant health information including medications, supplements, medical conditions and any recent procedures or investigations. We are required to take your GP details as part of your intake process in accordance with AFPA professional guidelines. Withholding relevant health information may affect the safety and effectiveness of your treatment.

Testimonials

We may ask for your permission to feature your name and a testimonial about your experience on our website or marketing materials. We will only do so with your explicit written consent. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us at [info@stephaniedornan.ie].

Data protection

Your personal data will not be transferred outside of the European Economic Area. For full details of how we collect, store and process your personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy at www.stephaniedornan.ie.

Limitation of liability

Stephanie Dornan Acupuncture cannot guarantee specific outcomes from treatment. Results vary between individuals and are influenced by many factors outside our control. We will always provide treatment to the best of our professional ability and in accordance with our professional standards and ethics.

Our liability to you shall not exceed the fees paid for the specific treatment session in relation to which any claim arises.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your treatment or our service, please contact us in the first instance at [info@stephaniedornan.ie]. We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 14 days.

If your complaint relates to professional conduct, you may also contact the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association of Ireland (AFPA) at afpa.ie.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
